Trust Sweet Iron Pony 3-Ring Bit, Jointed

The Pony 3-ring bit is made by Trust and is specially adapted to the anatomy of ponies. The single broken mouthpiece is a standard mouthpiece and distributes the pressure on the tongue, the interdental space and the corners of the mouth. The special alloy forms surface rust on contact with moisture, which naturally stimulates saliva production and chewing activity, as rust tastes sweet to ponies. The 3-ring side piece provides a leverage effect; the deeper the rein is attached, the stronger the effect. The cheek piece is attached to the upper, small ring and the rein can be attached individually in the large ring or the lower small ring, depending on the degree of effect. This bit is ideal for ponies that go strongly against the hand or hold the bit, for example in the course. It should only be used by experienced riders as it can develop a strong action.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece. This can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
