Trust Sweet Iron 3-Ring Bit, Eliptical

The Sweet Iron 3-ring bit by Trust has a eliptical mouthpiece and should only be used by experienced riders as it can develop a strong leverage effect. The cheek piece is attached to the upper small ring and the reins can be attached to the large ring or the lower small ring. The lower the reins are attached, the stronger the effect of the bit. The mouthpiece is a standard double-broken mouthpiece, which puts pressure on the tongue, the corners of the mouth and the interdental space. In addition, the mouthpiece has a Sweet Iron alloy which, when in contact with moisture, forms a sweet tasting surface rust for horses, naturally stimulating saliva production. This combination of 3 ring side piece and double broken mouthpiece is ideal for horses that go strongly against the hand or become very strong in the course.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
