Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Wideport Segundo

This Trust Baby Pelham is made of high quality materials and has a double broken mouthpiece with tongue freedom. Unlike other bits with tongue freedom, this mouthpiece can move loosely, which creates lateral flexibility. The tongue clearance reduces pressure on the centre of the tongue but distributes it across the interdental space and creates extra pressure points due to the sharp edges. The movement in the bit prevents the horse from laying on the mouthpiece. The Sweet Iron alloy makes the bit highly acceptable as it forms surface rust on contact with moisture, which tastes sweet to horses. The Baby Pelham Side Piece is a combination of a double bridle and snaffle, but much easier to use as there is only one mouthpiece. In addition, the rider can decide individually whether to ride with one or two reins. To prevent the bit from rotating too far, the Baby Pelham should always be used with a chin chain.

Note: When not in use, a thin, orange-brown layer of rust develops on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
