Trust Sweet Iron Pelham French Link

The Pelham French Link is made by Trust and combines the effect of a snaffle and a curb. It has one mouthpiece and can be ridden with one or two reins. When used with one rein, pelham straps are necessary to connect the shanks to the bit rings. These straps are not included in the delivery. The French Link is a double broken mouthpiece which has an eight shaped plate in the centre. This plate exerts an even pressure on the tongue. Due to the two hinge points, the mouthpiece is shaped more towards the mouth and lies a little looser in the horse's mouth. In addition, it has the Sweet Iron alloy, which makes the bit better accepted. This alloy oxidises on contact with moisture and forms a sweet-tasting surface rust for horses, so that chewing activity and saliva production are also stimulated in a natural way. The Pelham is suitable for strong horses and for those who need to get used to a double bridle.

Note: When not in use, a thin, orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece. This can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
