Trust Sweet Iron Baby Swales Low Port

This Baby Swale is made by Trust and has a straight bar as mouthpiece with a small curvature to create more space for the tongue. This also reduces the pressure on the middle of the tongue. The special Sweet iron alloy increases the acceptance of the bit, as it forms rust on contact with moisture, which tastes sweet to horses. The Baby Swales side piece is like a double bridle in the way it works, but is less complicated to use. There is only one mouthpiece, which can nevertheless be ridden with two reins. The rein which is attached to the lower ring creates the leverage effect, the other rein is attached to the upper ring and creates a soft connection to the horse's mouth. This bit has a sharp action and should only be used by experienced, sensitive rider's hands.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
