HS Sprenger Novocontact Curb Bit

The Novocontact curb bit convinces with an enlarged contact surface on the tongue, which distributes the pressure evenly throughout the horse's mouth. Thus, the space in the horse's mouth is ideally utilized. The curb bit has been intensively tested on various horses and has proven itself especially on horses that tend to pull up their tongue. The mouthpiece is made of Sensogan, a material alloyed with copper, zinc and manganese, which causes it to oxidize evenly. The oxidation produces a sweet taste that stimulates the horse's chewing activity and salivation, thereby increasing the acceptance of the bit. Sensogan is a well tolerated material, which is also suitable for sensitive horses.

• as the horse's mouth is narrower at the point where the snaffle is buckled, the snaffle should usually be 0,5 cm to 1,0 cm smaller than the bridle

• the curb chain should be buckled in such a way that the curb bit can be accepted up to an angle of 45°
