Trust Sweet Iron 2,5-Ring Bit Wideport Segundo

The 2,5-ring Wideport Segundo bit by Trust is flexible in its use, as there are different attachment options so that the rider can determine the sharpness of the bit himself. The cheek piece is attached to the attached small ring and the rein to either the large or lower small ring. The lower the position of the rein, the sharper the bit, as there is more leverage. The Wideport Segundo mouthpiece is double broken and has a tongue clearance. Because the mouthpiece can move loosely through the hinge points, there is lateral flexibility and the horse has difficulty biting down. The tongue clearance takes pressure off the centre of the tongue and distributes it across the interdental space, but the sharper corners create extra pressure points on the tongue. The Sweet Iron alloy ensures high acceptance and at the same time stimulates salivation as sweet tasting surface rust develops on contact with moisture for horses.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
