Trust Sweet Iron Loose Ring Bit Low Port

This Trust Sweet Iron loose ring bit is a handmade, particularly high quality model with a bar bit as mouthpiece. The side piece consists of small rings that move freely. The loose rings allow more movement of the bit, but less than a water snaffle with larger rings, so the rider's aids are more indirect, so most horses accept this bit very well. The mouthpiece in this version is a bar with a small tongue clearance, which means there is a small curvature to create more space for the tongue. At the same time, the pressure on the middle of the tongue is reduced, making it ideal for horses with a sensitive tongue. The blue colour on the bit is a special Sweet Iron alloy, which oxidises on contact with moisture and forms sweet-tasting surface rust for horses. This naturally stimulates salivation and increases chewing activity.

Note: When not in use, a thin orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
