The KK dressage curb has a very high, forward sloping tongue clearance, which gives the tongue a lot of space and reduces the pressure on the middle of the tongue. Normally, a fairly high tongue clearance causes pressure to build up in the palate, but the tongue clearance, which curves forward by 45 degrees, effectively prevents palatal pressure, which considerably increases the horse's well-being. You can choose between a 5cm or 7cm long underbeam, which can either increase (7cm) or decrease (5cm) the pressure on the neck. It should be noted, however, that the lever is considerably shorter for 5cm long suits than for 7cm long suits and the aids therefore work faster. In both cases the use requires an experienced and sensitive rider's hand. It is important to note that the curb bit is lower than the underlay bridle. As the mouth becomes narrower towards the front, the curb bit should therefore be ordered 0.5 - 1cm shorter. The special feature here are the fixed chin chain hooks, which should prevent the lips from getting caught.
